Bourbon & BBQ 4 at Suzy Q’S Barbeque Shack

April 2015

For year 4 at Suzy Q’s, an impressive array of bourbon whiskey was on hand to provide the social lubricant required to blow the roof off the joint. Much revelry was beheld, and several portions of slow smoked animals were judiciously slathered with Suzy Q’s house made sauce. It was, in a word, delectable. Bourbon and BBQ, two of America’s finest cultural exports, are the perfect pair to kick off the season of Sun. You guys remember the Sun, right?

Chateau Maris “Le Dyngus Day” Dinner at Coco Bar & Bistro

April 2015

For the second year running, we were able to abduct winemaker Robert Eden while on his way north to Canada for an evening with some of our favorite pours. Chateau Maris, the biodynamic champion of Southern France, produces fabulous wines in an environmentally conscious way that should prevent you from falling into a guilty crying spell while sipping away. Once again, Coco Bar & Bistro provided the venue and cuisine, handling their end of the deal with aplomb.

Featured Wines:

Iberian Wine Dinner at Coco Bar & Bistro

March 2015

If you’ve never imbibed the wines of Spain and Portugal, or consumed the regional dishes of these remarkable locations, you have done yourself a disservice. Culturally significant cuisine, as prepared by the usual cast of exceptional characters at Coco, couldn’t have been in better hands. Lamb and olive stew? They’ve got it. Xató? Obviously. Let the photos that follow be a testament to their unimpeachable talents. Should you
find yourself in a cold sweat, mad with hunger, you have our permission to eat your computer.
