Our Staff


After spending the first twenty years of my working career as a corporate accountant I decided to pursue my passions of food and wine by doing more than just eating and drinking. After some time in the restaurant business as part-owner and executive chef of Peabody’s, I transitioned to the retail management side of wine and spirits and in 2010 I found a home at Gates Circle Wine & Liquor. I’m knowledgeable in many areas of oenology and viticulture, and I take pride in being able to share this knowledge by hosting monthly Wine Education classes for our customers at the beginning of each year. My favorite wines come from Italy so if you’re looking for Amarone or Barolo, don’t hesitate to ask.



I consider myself fortunate to have the opportunity to work alongside the rest of the Gates Circle staff. With a collective 95+ years of wine experience, countless successes in regards to food pairings, and reliable palates that foster curiosity and ingenuity, I hope to add to your experience here by offering suggestions for some of my favorite indulgences: French whites, port wines, sake brews, and gin confections. Keep an eye out for me the next time you visit. We can talk about flavors, production methods, and the right mood you need to be in to enjoy these bottles.



Working at Gates Circle Wine & Liquor has provided me with the unique experience to indulge in all manner of fermented and distilled beverages, transforming me into an unapologetic hedonist of the most severe kind. I’ve got a ravenous appetite for bourbon and American whiskey with a special place in my heart for the wines of New York State and France. My unfettered access to an endless supply of the best from around the world has me more than willing to chat with you about it, whether that’s Buffalo Trace, Sancerre, or a nice dry red from the Niagara Wine Trail.
