Our next wine dinner “California Dreamin’”

The evening will consist of 5 wine and food courses. It will also provide an

opportunity to those attending to pre order any of the wines tasted

that evening at large discounts from regular prices.

Aperitif: Cline Viognier paired with assorted hors d’oeuvres.

First Course: Byron Chardonnay paired with lobster ceviche,

“Salsa of Life”, grilled watermelon, avocado marble.

Second Course: Michael & David 6th Sense Syrah paired with Alice Waters inspired

California duck pizza “family style, roiasted pears, argula, Quatre Epices, truffle oil..

Third Course: Villa Mt. Eden Cabernet Sauvignon paired with red wine

poached tenderloin, roasted foie gras, chocolate sauce, watercress, baby carrots.

Dessert: Girard Zinfandel paired with chocolate

ice cream cone with dried raspberry “sprinkles”.

Our next wine dinner “Migrant Grapes”


The evening will consist of 5 wine and food courses.

It will also provide an opportunity to those attending to pre order any of the wines tasted that evening at large discounts from regular prices.

Aperitif: Mitolo Vermentino paired with assorted hors d’oeuvres.


First Course: Di Lenardo unoked Chardonnay paired with Scallop Nicose, French beans, hard boiled quail egg, spiced olives & fried anchovy.


Second Course:  Tscharke Tempranillo paired with Aussie paella with crawfish, Tasmainian salmon roe, loin of rabbit, duck sausage and goat cheese saffron rice.


Third Course: Heartland Dolcetto/Lagrein paired with smoked lamb loin, sour cherry and green peppercorn sauce, potatoes Anna, buttered brussell sprouts.


Dessert: Cline Late Harvest Mourvedre paired with sticky bread pudding with rhubarb ice cream.

The evening will consist of 5 wine and food courses. It will also provide an opportunity to those attending to pre order any of the wines tasted that evening at large discounts from regular prices.

Aperitif:  Domaine Joseph Cattin Cremant d’Alsace Brut paired with assorted hors d’oeuvres.

First Course:  Anne Pichon Viognier paired with deconstructed Thanksgiving leftovers.

Second Course:  Vinedos de los Vientos Tannat “Eolo” Gran Reserva paired with short rib ravioli, wild mushroom ragout and basil, pine nut sauce.

Third Course:  Jelu Malbec paired with “Robert Burns Celebration Dinner”, roast leg of lamb Sheppard’s pie, taties & meets (potatoes and turnips).

Dessert:  Casa Santa Eufemia Ruby Port paired with Gorgonzola cheesecake, walnut whipped cream and poached pear compote.

Place: VFW Post in Kenmore on Delaware Ave.

Time: 3pm to 7pm.

Cost: $35.00 per person

 

Menu:

First: Balcone’s Baby Blue Texas Whiskey with Piglet (mini open faced chopped pork sandwich topped with BBQ sauce and shredded cheddar cheese then baked) with coleslaw

Second: Balcone’s True Blue with smoked chicken thighs and corn bread

Third:   Balcone’s Special Release with smoked Polish Sausage and Mac & Cheese

Forth: Balcone’s Brimstone (smoked Texas Whiskey) with pulled pork slider and baked beans

Last: Balcone’s Rumble (spirit made with wildflower honey, turbinado sugar& mission figs)with bread pudding

with a roasted red pepper dipping sauce.
